Kundalini

The brand changed its name. Founded in Milan in 1996 as Kundalini, it has traded as KDLN since the early 2020s, and the old kundalini.it address now redirects to kdln.it. The catalogue has not changed in nature: decorative interior lighting only, no furniture at all.

Three materials structure the work: glass, metal and ceramic. The glass is mouth-blown, often as a double-layer opal diffuser. The metal is matt-lacquered or brushed, in black, brass or copper. KDLN has no factory of its own. It designs, publishes and hands manufacturing to selected specialists, keeping technical compliance in-house.

That shows in a catalogue closer to specifiable lighting than to workshop pieces. Kushi 10th, by Alberto Saggia and Valerio Sommella, pairs a two-layer blown glass diffuser with a 7 W LED tunable from 1800 to 3000 kelvin, at a colour rendering index above 90. Mars, from the Valencia studio Yonoh, is a ceiling-anchored floor lamp reaching five metres. Polar, by the same studio, is a modular pendant with interchangeable arms. Every reference ships with BIM files, photometric curves and installation notes.

Artopia carries KDLN in Geneva, a brand still frequently asked for under its former name.
